Abyssinian

of the American Paint Horse - Decorated by nature,

Australian
Stock Horse - The history of the breed began in
1788 with the arrival of the First Fleet which brought
the first horses to the colony of N.S.W., as the whole
of eastern Australia was then known. These horses were
of English Thoroughbred and Spanish stock; later importations
included more Thoroughbreds, Arabs and Timor and Welsh
Mountain ponies.

Belgian

Clydesdale
- The Clydesdale is a breed of heavy draft horse developed
in and deriving its name from the district in Scotland
where it was founded.
Chincoteague
Pony - There are several local legends about the
origins of the ponies on Assateague. The most popular
(as found in Misty of Chincoteague) is that the ponies
swam ashore from a Spanish ship that had run aground,
while another story has it that they came from a wrecked
ship that had been on its way to the English colonies.
Curly
Horse - The Curly Horse is well documented among wild horses of the North
American west, since the 1700's. The origin is unknown. Curly coated horses have
been pictured in artwork throughout the history of mankind. As recently as two
to three hundred years ago, dominant gene Curly Horses were living in the wild
horse herds of North (and probably South) America. Today, there are still Curly
Horses found in the wild mustang herds scattered throughout the Western United
States. In North America, today's dominant gene Curly Horses trace directly back
to the Curly Horses that developed in the wild.

Exmoor Pony - The ancestors of these present ponies evolved in an ice age
about a million years ago. Fossil bones have been found dating back a hundred
thousand years to the tundra like conditions of the ice age, todays Exmoor Ponies

Gypsy
Horses (aka Gypsy Vanners, Gypsy Cobs, Irish Cobs, etc.) - Although they have
been bred for a particular type for generations, they are originally descended
